*PxP = Patient Portal
*Only PATIENTS can be enrolled in the PxP. An individual with only a PERSON account cannot be enrolled.
You can enroll a patient in PxP while in PM through the patient chart.
There are two ways to access the patient chart.
1. Search for the patient using the Patient Lookup by clicking the 'Chart' icon at the top of the screen:
2. If the patient has an appointment scheduled in the appointment book, you can right click on the patient name in the appointment book then click 'View Chart':
Either of these will take you to the patient chart.
How to easily tell if a patient is already enrolled in PxP or not while viewing their chart in PM:
At the top of the patient chart is a little human head/ shoulder icon, this is the PxP status icon.
The red X next to the icon indicates the patient has never been invited to enroll in the PxP.
In this case, you can enroll them in the PxP if the patient wants to be enrolled.
Just click 'Enroll Now' next to the icon, that is all you have to do, the system will take care of the rest UNLESS, they do not have an email address listed in their chart and you will get this pop up error:
After adding a valid email address you can enroll the patient.
The green checkmark next to the icon indicates this patient is already enrolled in the PxP and you need to do nothing, you will see the 'Enroll Now' link is not available:
The yellow exclamation next to the icon indicates the patient has been invited to enroll in the PxP but has not registered yet (maybe remind them that the invite has been sent) but again, you need to do nothing, again you will see the 'Enroll Now' link is not available:
You can also see the PxP status icon in the top right corner of the chart and at the bottom of the screen. Status colors mentioned above are the same everywhere. Hers's an example:
