VPN services such as Viscosity now require setting up Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to our OpenVPN Access server. This can be done by adding an OpenVPN entry in an authentication app, such as Microsoft Authenticator. This is similar to using Microsoft Authenticator MFA to sign into your work email.

Step 1) Open A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).

Step 2) Type " https://pgovpngw.pgst.nsn.us " in the URL field and press Enter.

Step 3) Type your work username and work password, and then click "Sign In."

Step 4) Next, add the OpenVPN account to your Microsoft Authenticator app. On your cellphone, open the Microsoft Authenticator app. The app icon looks like this:

Step 5) Click the " + " in the upper right corner of the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 6) Click "Work or school account."

Step 7) Click "Scan a QR code."

Step 8) Use your cellphone to scan the QR code shown in the web browser.

Step 9) After successfully scanning the QR code, there will now be an entry in your Microsoft Authenticator app for OpenVPN.

Step 10) Enter the one-time passcode shown in the OpenVPN entry on your cellphone in your Microsoft Authenticator app into the "6-digit code" field in the web browser, and then click "Confirm Code."

Step 11) After successful confirmation, you may close the website when you see a screen similar to this:
